Thank you for visiting First Christian Church. As we seek to fulfill God’s vision for our ministry we understand first and foremost that we are called to share Good News in word and work. Through the various ministries we offer we try to meet the needs of those around us, while at the same time seek to encourage our members in their faith.

As you peruse this website you discover a great deal about our congregation. We are members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Our heritage is one of restoration. Not only do we seek to reclaim the teachings of the New Testament for our ministry and practice, we also desire to promote unity within the body of Christ, remembering the prayer of our Lord “that they might be one.”

We invite you to join us for worship each week at 10:30 a.m. Our first priority is to create a worship environment in which each of us encounters God. Whether through prayer, preaching, communion, singing or fellowship our earnest desire is that each worshiper leaves knowing they have met God in this place. This includes children, who are welcome to remain with parents in worship or participate in our Acorn ministry; a program geared specifically to young children.

If you are looking for faith knowledge and/or enrichment I invite you to join us for Sunday school or Bible study. Our teaching ministry while seeking to provide information is not dogmatic in its conclusion. Rather, we seek to encourage one another as we wrestle with difficult issues, whether theological, ethical or social.
